Help With My Mom's Funeral Costs

My mom passed last week. We thought that we'd have assistance from the county with her cremation costs, but it turns out we won't since the denied the application. So now we're scrambling to get several thousand dollars for it (welcome to living in BFE and having only a few funeral homes so they all gouge us on prices) when we're totally in the red. We've exhausted every single option we may have had. If you guys can spare anything, I and my family would be eternally grateful.

Right now, we're sitting at a cost of $4200. This is the cheapest option they offer. We're just getting a simple cremation, no memorial or wake or anything. No one expected this all to happen so fast and arrangements weren't made. What's done is done though and now we're just trying to make sure that she gets laid to rest.

Please Help - My Mom is Dying

My name is Krystina. This is a donation pool set up for my parent-in-laws, Shawn and Jeanette by me as the face for all five of their children (three by birth, one by marriage, and one by choice). They have been fantastic, amazing parents and they're wonderful people. However, as the saying goes, bad things always happen to good people.

Jeanette was diagnosed with uterine cancer early this year. She was given a five-year timeline. After surgery, they found out it had moved to her lymph nodes and blood stream. Imaging showed that it had also metastasized to her lungs. We were then told she would have a year left. She started chemo and did everything that she could to buy more time.

And then two weeks ago, she had a fall, which led to more imaging. They discovered that the masses in her lungs had grown, not shrunk like they had hoped. But more tragically, she had developed three tumors in her brain. The tumors have affected her motor functions; she can't walk anymore, she can hardly put weight on her left leg or move it. She's in the hospital now; she was getting radiation to at least shrink the tumors and keep them from further disabling her, but we've all accepted that the end is near.

Shawn is being a great husband and being very supportive through this. However, he can't do everything. It's come to our attention that the property taxes on their home are due. They've already depleted everything they had to take care of expenses. There was a first GFM but they've also had to use that money for life expenses.

So that's where this one comes in. I'm asking for donations of any size to help them make the payment for these taxes. The last thing they need is to lose their home. Anything helps, even just $5. Please put yourself in our position; you wouldn't want your parents to risk losing their home while a cancer battle is going on. We would all be eternally grateful for any and all help that we can receive for this matter. I know it's not much, but I will personally sit down and hand write thank you notes and mail them out to every donor that feels comfortable giving me their address.

You can donate here - https://www.gofundme.com/BattleForJeanette. You can even do it anonymously if you want.

Thank you all in advance for your time, consideration, and generosity.
